Orbits Professional; $200.00 Score
Commissioned by Eduardo Marturet and the Miami Symphony Orchestra, this nine-minute concert opener is inspired by the order evident in the laws of the natural world, specifically in gravitational phenomena. Constantly spiraling around itself motivically and harmonically, the piece maintains a steady forward trajectory as it spins full-circle. Contrasting sections showcase the brass section and a full percussion contingent, as well as solos for viola, violin, piccolo, and C cornet. Described by the South Florida Classical Review as "an immensely appealing crowd-pleaser that displays a real flair for instrumental writing". Listen to Orbits here!

Song of the Evening Grade 3-4; $100.00 Score
This piece is purely emotional in nature, with an opening string chorale filled with longing. A moving melody introduced by the cellos is picked up by the full string section with harp accompaniment, as winds slowly emerge in a completely satisfying climax, filled with joy and triumph. The longing returns at the end, but the final chord is a beautiful resolution. This piece may leave your audience in tears, but it is very musically demanding from the orchestra, especially the strings. Wind parts are mostly supplemental, with no extreme ranges. Winner of the 2014 Young Composers Challenge West.

The Bells Professional; $500.00 Score
Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's poem of the same name, The Bells is a symphony for large orchestra. Each of the four movements of this 32-minute work corresponds to a stanza of the poem. Silver Bells calls to mind the crisp, clear energy of a wintry morning, and highlights the mallet percussion and upper woodwinds. Golden Bells depicts the romance of a wedding, with lush string sonorities and flowing melodies. Brazen Bells is a musical picture of the terror evoked by a town fire in 19th-Century New England, and is the most visceral, dissonant movement, utilizing dueling chime parts and an anvil, among other "brassy" instruments. Finally, Iron Bells is split into two sections, the first evoking the relentless march of death, and ending with a musical picture of the moment of death, then the second taking the listener on a journey through teh emotions of those affected by death, first quiet grief, then a more open mourning, then numbness, and finally, peace. Scored for 4333 6431 Timp 7 Perc (4 mallet parts and 3 battery) Hp Cel Strings
