Pricing and Ordering
In contrast to the expence and complication of the rental system and hard copy distribution common among publishers today, Robert's music is available in digital format*, which may be stored easily and printed cheaply. The price shown next to each piece covers a downloadable score and parts. Copyright permission is granted by Robert Tindle Music to print as many parts as needed for the purchasing ensemble. Please note that it is illegal under US Copyright Law to share scores and parts among ensembles. Robert's pricing is deliberately kept affordable to allow interested ensembles to purchase music regardless of budget.
To place an order, contact Robert and list the pieces desired in the Orders box. Payment is by check, mailed to:
Robert Tindle Music
1702 N Fairmount St Apt 205
Wichita, KS 67208
Score and parts will be emailed to the address provided in the contact form once the check clears.
If you wish to commission a piece from Robert, enter 'Commission' in the Order box, and state any initial parameters for the commission in the Questions box. Robert will contact you at the email address given in the form to begin the process of determining instrumentation, length, difficulty, etc. Prices for commissions will be negotiated upon Robert's acceptance of the commission, as will a stipend for Robert to attend rehearsals and concert, if applicable.
A basic commission form can be found here.
The American Composers' Forum's article on commissions can be found here. This lists asking prices for professional composers/performers based on length, speed, difficulty, and instrumentation.
Any additional requirements or questions regarding orders should be entered in the Questions box.
*Note: Works for professional-level ensembles (wind emselbe and orchestra) are also available in rental format with MOLA-consistent parts, if desired. These parts use 9x12" paper size, unlike the rest of Robert's catalogue, which has easily-printable 8.5x11" parts. All scores are 11x17".
